Spomen Dom at Kolašin

Spomen Dom in Kolašin, Montenegro, is striking, bold, and beautiful. The building's cutting triangular shapes are thought evoking and monumental, serving it's purpose well as both memorial and cultural centre.

What I really love about brutalist architecture is that when it's done well, it's edifying. It allows the viewer to see an architectural resemblance of natural forms, without any of the extras. For me, brutalism can be the closest type of architecture to mimic the boldness and beauty of natures most solid foundations.
